It's Saturday. And I called Jasmine in the morning to meet up at City Hall. Haha...and we had lunch at Carl Jr's. I got to tell you that Carl Jr's fastfood is really very American-styled. The burgers are juicy & filling. The fries are absolutely stunners, especially with the cheese & chilli along. The drinks are free-flow. But don't get mistaken. We didn't take a second round of drinks as we couldn't even finish our combo meals. Hmm, still Carl Jr's is a great recommendation to you guys out there. I'm sure you will love it.

After this heavy meal, we started our hunt for a backpack as my old Nike backpack is kinda spoilt. And we found that it's actually so hard to find one nice, good & useful backpack. Along the way, we tried Starbuck's new Mocha Valencia Frappuncino, which tastes like the orange chocolate my mum buys every Chinese New Year. Well, I'll say that it's nice to have cos' it's quite refreshing. So finally, I decided on a Ripcurl backpack, which is laptop compatiable, fits A4 folders & has a pocket for iTunes. Haha, its material is good too. Jasmine also agreed with that. After all, it's not expensive as I thought. Luckily, I didn't buy that $129 Timberland backpack, which is also nice, is of great materials & has a lot of functions, cos' Jasmine said that it isn't that necessary to buy such expensive backpack. Haha...I'm simply happy about buying it.

My new Ripcurl backpack

Actually, I should say that I'm happy today cos' we have done lots of things for the whole day like eating at Carl Jr's, looking for good backpacks, examining webcams at Creative shop & running away from another cousin of ours (who we don't really like, haha). Hmm, I got to do my tutorials & assignments tomorrow after so much fun today. However, it's alright for me as today's fun has made things worthwhile.

Finally, my polytechnic life has started and it's already the second official day. Everything is still abit new to me. But I can feel that I'm getting more used to it now. Oh, I never bought a new laptop, unlike other freshmen, as my sister's laptop is working perfectly fine for my usage in school. Haha...so it's cost-saving on my part. But seriously my sister hardly uses her laptop for her university course. Actually, she usually uses the home desktop to search for resources, do assignments & also enjoy herself with Internet & MSN chatting.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I actually had went to the ME Division's general office to ask for clarification about my timetable & subjects on Monday. In the end, I have the ME Division's Director to explain subjects I am enrolled to & double-check if I have the access for these subjects in the school's eLearning system. Truly, I'm thankful to have him to be so responsible to check everything for me. Haha...he really means what he said at the FOP 2006's briefing. I really salute to him.

Anyway, I got to go & do my tutorials & assignments before having lessons again on the following days. Hmm...life at Ngee Ann has really begun.

I don't know if you have seen it or not. But still, I'll like to mention that I have recently added on the CBox to let people like you leave me messages. Actually, I never like to put any tagboard on my blog. But the CBox seems convincing enough to me as it's really a great enhanced tagboard from what I can see in other people's blogs & its demo. Well, you can try it too if you have a blog too, or have your own website.

Anyway, I went to Singapore Polytechnic this morning to meet Amanda. We had breakfast at the polytechnic's MacDonald & it's really worthwhile. Then, we went around the campus to explore & discovered that Singapore Polytechnic has lots of facilities, which students can really benefit. For example, its main library has lots of useful books for studies, DVDs & CDs for entertainment & magazines for knowledge. Wow...both of us agree that it's like a paradise or even a recreation club, rather than a school. Haha...I guess now you know why polytechnic students say that schooling is fun.

Well, after exploring Singapore Polytechnic's campus, I feel like finding a day to explore Ngee Ann Polytechnic to see what kind of facilities it has for students to benefit from. Haha...I'll have the chance very soon as school term is going to start soon. Man, to be back in school is so good. Don't you agree?

At last. Today is my last day of work at CPF's ESS. I mean I have been on this job for over 14 months. Gosh...I really have the patience to stick to the same job for such a long time. Anyway, I'm really glad to have this team of people with me over this long period of time. You can't imagine how much they have taught me about life, work, people & choice. Oh man...the lessons are totally priceless. And I really appreciate those.

And of course, through this job, I got to know lots of people from different social levels, different culture & different thoughts. It's really eye-opening as you don't get to see that much in school. Hmm...well, I'll cherish everything I have experienced in this job. And if I can, I'll like to go back to work during school vacation.

Anyway, I have not mentioned what I'm going to do after this. Haha...yup, I'm going back to school as a full-time student at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. And I will have to attend my orientation next week before school term starts on 24th. Seriously, I'm pretty excited about school. I can't wait to attend tutorials, lectures & even participate in CCAs. I bet I love them once again.

Ok, now I'm going to give myself a short break before school term starts. I guess I deserve that after working for more than a year. Am I right? Haha. Enjoy. That's the word for me now. Woohoo...
