I was on my way home in Shawn's car after lessons. The sky was just clear from light shower. And at that moment, there's soothing jazz playing on the car's audio system with a familiar male vocal. Initially, I thought it was Frank Sinatra singing. Then, Weiliang kindly showed me the music album cover. To my surprise, it's actually Bing Crosby's collection. Man...I must confess that his music is absolutely nice, especially with the 'after rain' weather and the cooling air-conditioning. I hope I can get his music collection one day to play in my own car, or probably just in my room.

So music is a very important part of life. At least it is in my life. Sometimes it just has expressed the most inner feelings I have down in my heart, which can't be expressed to anyone else. Or, it just makes me feel good for some or no reason. Oh, music, you are irresistible. I love you.

The new semester has already started for six days. I will say that everything is still okay in school, except having myself unwell with body aches, fever and headaches for the past days. There's no specific reason behind these symptoms. I think I just have to take extra care of my health, especially when the haze is around these days due to Indonesia's 'burning season'.

Anyway, I just got back from Vivocity. Vivocity is currently the largest retail and lifestyle destination over here, which is situated at the Harbourfront precinct. It recently opened, and its area is larger than Suntec City and Ngee Ann City. Vivocity is actually designed by the renowned Japanese architect, Toyo Ito. According to its management group from Mapletree Investments, at least one shop will open every day until its official opening in 2 December. Moreover, in Vivocity, you will be able to find new brands like Gap and Pull and Bear launching the first flagship in Singapore's retail market. So I'm sure that it will be nice to go to Vivocity as you can probably find everything you need over there. Hehe...and finally, I have bought Gap's tops today. Oh, I really love them...

Ok, I got to go and do my homework, preparing for next week's lessons. Hmm...my school life is back from vacation.

I just got back home from outside. And I have finally tried New York New York, which is newly opened at Citylink Mall, with my cousins, Jessie and Jasmine. Hmm, I would not say that it's as fantastic as it seems to me initially. However, with the money we had paid for the meal, I think it's still worthwhile for anyone to give a try for the first time. Trust me.

Also, I have bought myself a Victorinox daypack. Despite of its price, its quality and workmanship makes me feel right to buy it. And now I look forward to have it by my side while travelling places. Cheers for my Victorinox.

My dad is back with lots of pictures, nice titbits and postcards. And he actually got to go around at Shanghai. Wow, the best part is that he didn't have to spend much to shop and eat there cos' the local coordinator has settled every bill for him. Anyway, he has told the family lots of interesting things which he has experienced over this trip. Haha...from what he has said and brought back, I think Shanghai is rather a nice place to go for holiday, and even shopping spree.

Other than these things, my dad has successfully bought what my sister and I want at Changi Airport's DFS. I get my Burberry's London while my sister gets her Tommy Girl and Calvin Klein's One Summer. Hmm, I must say that things bought at DFS are really quality-guranteed. Haha...now I'm feeling very happy about my new perfume. My dad also thinks the perfumes he has bought are really nice. Can I say that great minds think alike? Hehe...

So there's only success and joy from this trip. My dad has done a nice job. And he actually handles well my digital camera. Well done, dad.

Saturday, October 7, 2006 - 6:59 PM

I drove my dad's car without anyone beside me! Ok, I actually have to start the car's engine to warm up under my dad's reminder over these few days while he is away in China's Rudong for his work. And today, I felt tempted to give the car some light exercise around my neighbourhood. So I put down the handbrake and bring it a spin. Haha...now, it's back at the original parking lot, straight and accurate.

Anyway, I'm going to meet Jessie, Weiliang & Shawn on Tuesday to buy textbooks and pay for AEM. One day of work will then be lost with one day of friends and school gained. I guess it should be alright for me as I think I still need more time to rest before the school is to start again. Hopefully I will have enjoyed the coming Tuesday, and making everything worthwhile.

Oh, I can't wait to see what my dad is to bring back from his trip tomorrow. And I'm sure that he can bring lots of nice surprises to us. Hehe...

Sunday, October 1, 2006 - 12:23 PM

There's two more weeks before the new semester is to begin. Jessie and Weiliang have just stopped their vacation job ahead of their schedule. Hmm, perhaps they might feel the tiredness while working for days. Actually, I think I feel the same way too. But due to the commitment and determination, some parts of my mind are giving me the will to go on working till the end of the vacation. Suddenly, I don't know how I should feel now.

Anyway, my family suddenly received 4 boxes of mooncakes from relatives and friends over these recent two days. And the mooncakes are from Tung Lok Group, Hong Kong's famous Wing Wah and Moi Yan and Malaysia's SDS. Haha...my parents seem very pleased with these treats. So while enjoying these mooncakes, we must still remember to drink lots of water and look after our weight. Mooncakes can be fattening if you like to eat them very now and then.

Ok, I'm going to have some rest now. I think I really deserve a treat from myself after working so hard in this vacation. Mmm...like trying food at New York New York? Sounds great.
