Recently, I have been so indulged in Peggy Hsu's long-awaited new album, "Peggy's Wish Box", or a.k.a. "Xu Yan He". Do you still remember Peggy Hsu? She's the singer who released her debut album in 2001 with "Qi Qiu", "Bai Se Huen Li", "Chang Tou Fa" as the hits. Back then, she had received several recognition for her talents to write and compose songs. Her future then was predicted to be bright and hopeful. However, due to contract problems, she actually failed to release new albums for the past six years. However, if you are the one who carefully read the lyrics' credits, you should have realised that Peggy didn't refuse to let her love for music die off by writing songs or involving in music production for artistes like Evonne Hsu, Gigi Leung, Joi Chua, Fish Leong, Twins, Genie Chuo etc.

Despite that, she never gives up the idea of singing her own songs to the world. Now her dream has come alive! She's like a mighty little lion, who just wakes up from deep sleep. All the songs in this album are so personal. Light and close to you. I'm sure you will love the whole album, like I do. And you will listen to it over and over again, without getting sick.

Peggy's Wish Box

For your information, she actually had gone through slight depression during these past six years due to lack of opportunity to release more new albums. Hmm...that sounds like another preferred singer of mine, Cheer Chen. Anyway, I have faith in Peggy and Cheer to soar higher in time to come in this music industry. God will certainly bless these talented ladies.

It’s been a long time since I last blogged. For your information, the local week-long Labour Day (also known as Wu Yi Lao Dong Jie) has just gone by. And I only managed to visit Yangzhou during this long break. This is all thanks to Daisy, who had asked me to come along, as my partner refused to go out on such a long break. Okay, he is simply a miser.

Anyway, Yangzhou is rather a perfect place to view southern Jiangsu style, which will let one indulge into a poetic mood. Everything there seems much more relaxing than in Shanghai, and even Wuxi. Haha…I guess I have such impression as I got to see numerous small teahouses and typical southern Jiangsu scenery along Yangzhou’s streets. And I had even tried Yangzhou’s famous fried rice, though it gives me slight disappointment for being too oily with an unfamiliar taste. However, I have not regretted to visit one of China's best 'classic' cities as I doubt to have so much opportunity to go to Yangzhou by myself in the future.

Huge crowds drawn during the long break

Oh, it’s currently less than a week to the day where I am to meet my family and cousin in town, followed by in Shanghai. I must say that as the days draw nearer, I find myself feeling happier. I guess that’s b’cos I have not seen them for over two months. And I also can’t wait to get the essential items I asked them to bring over. Moreover, it’s my birthday week they are here with me, the happy birthday girl. We’ll be nearer together on that very week, looking at the same sky. Haha… how nice it is.

Okay, I have to go off to have a rest. It’s another working day tomorrow. And I promise to have more interesting contents in weeks to come. Cheers.
