Oh man, I am offered admission to National University of Singapore (NUS). And I received this piece of news on the very day I received my final polytechnic semester results. At that moment, I was blank as it's only about two weeks after the Category B application period closed. Anyway, I am really going to a local university. No joke. Complete truth with concrete evidence.

Congratulations & welcome to NUS!

And then, to my surprise, the next day's Straits Times had its headline for Prime News as 'polytechnic grads put squeeze on university places'. According to the newspaper, it seems to be a tough year to get into the three local universities. Both NUS and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) reported that they saw a surge in number of applications from polytechnic graduates for this year. And this is partly because most of this year's polytechnic graduates are born in 1988's Year of Dragon. So, yah, can I be considered as lucky to already secure a place in NUS? Lijuan said she agreed to this statement. Me? The answer is 'Maybe'.

Anyway, I am not going to think so much about it now as NTU has yet to send her letter to me. And I think I should look into some other important issues like academic scholarships and some private matters. Goodness, I have a whole lot to do and take note of. Hmm...maybe a rewarding holiday trip before university life will be nice.

Okay, I have a job now. Yup, it is a temporary position as a bank assistant in a foreign bank named Scotiabank. Its pay is quite okay. And the working location is in Raffles Place. The bad thing about it is that it is a one-month extendable job assignment. I wonder how long the bank is going to hire me for this position. I kinda need continuous money in-flow into my pocket to raise funds for something I have long desired. Hmm...hopely I can work in this bank till I am to start my undergraduate studies in August.

Anyway, I have been carefully looking over various scholarships. Wow, I guess it isn't easy to attain a scholarship. Too many requirements and conditions are to be met. Excuse me, I just need some sponsorship for my undergraduate studies, which can help me to channel some personal funds for other purposes. Is that so difficult? Money...is one hard thing to get within a certain duration. Okay, whatever it is, I shall try my best.

Oh, it is going to be four soon. I think I better go and have some rest before going out to meet out with friends. Hahaha...I still seem quite occupied while waiting for some crucial notifications.
