I am back from the NYS Orientation Camp. And though the camp is not one week-long like many other university camps, I must say that this camp is the best. Even the people I have known in this camp are great. And it's really special credits to my Orientation Group who made me feel so good during this camp. We ran in the rain, soared in the air, cheered with passion, dived into the water with pride and many more. Hmm...we're so fantastic that we walked away with the top honour of being the 'Best of the Best' among the freshies.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So what's next? Well, all the freshies are definitely staying in their halls for the freshman year. Haha...I bet we are going to meet up soon for some karaoke session or simply some crapping. And also, yah, I bet nobody in my group can forget the bond and things we had done over this camp. Oh man, like many have said, I love Janus !!

We are counting down, aren't we? Yes, it's our camp. Our exclusive camp. Hooray...
Haha...you probably have no idea what I am talking about. I am trying to mean the Freshman Orientation Camp which is only meant for the Nanyang Scholarship and C N Yang Scholarship recipients. Well, I already met my group members, group leaders, camp organising committee and of course, the rest of the camp buddies. And I thought that it's really nice and special to get all of us together, and have fun-filling activities before the school term is to commence. Of course, we people will be meeting each other again and again, after this camp due to our commitment to our university. But, for the time being, let us just enjoy ourselves during this camp. Woohoo... Oh, anyway, my close friends have recently asked me about the location of my sixth sense. Hmm, I will agree that I do have my sixth sense. But it does not work when it has no direction or hint. So, please kindly pardon me, or rather my sixth sense. Some things need time to get into a bigger picture. Okay? Okay, no more crap. I really need to do my stuffs. Lots of things are required to pack into my bag. After that, a good rest is required to ensure full enjoyment for the camp. Hmm...hopefully everything goes well.

I have recently watched John Woo's latest film, "Red Cliff", with Huixin and Lijuan. And the film, as expected, is really good. I seriously love how the scenes are taken, especially the fighting scenes. You really can see how smart Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang plotted to battle against Cao Cao's army. Also, through this film, I finally got to understand more about the period of Three Kingdoms, which are Sun Quan's Wu, Cao Cao's Wei and Liu Bei's Shu Han. Hahaha...I bet that some people will frown to my interest for such history. But, that has simply explained why I chose to take History as one of my GCE 'O' Level subjects, even though it does not really cover much on Chinese History.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyway, I really recommend you to watch this most anticipated Chinese film of the year, if you have the chance. Oh man, I really can't wait to see the second part of this film, which is scheduled to be released in January 2009. Oh, by the way, it's already mid July. My undergraduate studies will be really commencing real soon. Goodness, that's abit scary. I am not ready yet. My head is still in a state of emptiness. Aiya...how? What should I do? I really should take some time to think now.

Someone has just officially graduated. And that's our 'Shen Lao Shi', Huiteng. Hahaha...it's really nice to witness your friend wear the academic dress and graduate under the eyes of hundreds. And, of course, I must mention that Huixin and I really seemed to have a good time playing with our digital cameras, and taking photos here and there. Hmm...so, did we appear crazy then? I wonder...
Then again, graduation is really like one big family event. You will get to see many people from your school, be it your friends or simply plain strangers, expressing their emotions while reaching this remarkable milestone. And, you might even meet long-lost friends during such events, like we happened to meet our JC classmate, Liyin, who actually graduated in the same ceremony with Huiteng. Haha...yes, you definitely will get a chance to have some small chat with them. Oh man...what more can I say? This is a real good thing of life. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally, I hereby would like to extend my warm congratulations to all my friends who are graduating this year. Haha...I bet you have no idea of how proud your loved ones are to see you reaching this stage of life. Okay, I gotta stop here. Many things are piling up for me to look into. Yup, it's time for private business again.

It's been a week since I ended my previous temporary job assignment. And that's real fast as I have yet to do anything big, like tidying up my room. Hmm...it's going to be done by this week as I am scheduled to go to camps for days soon. And it'll be kinda more impossible after the camps as I need some time to recover from the exhausting craze most camps usually bring to me. So, wake up...and stop slacking...
Anyway, I have just bought a new pair of Nike Dunk Low. And it's really quite interesting as its design is one of those meant to celebrate Euro 2008. So, if you are rather sharp, you will have noted that the colours for my new Nike Dunk Low actually resemble the French flag. Okay, the main point is that I love my new Nike shoes and I am thrilled to know my Nike collection is expanding again. Woohoo... ![]() Other than the Nike Dunk Low, I have bought myself with a new laptop backpack from the North Face and a new laptop bag from Crumpler. And they just cost slightly more than Oakley's Icon Backpack 3.0. Damn, just imagine if I insist to buy that Oakley backpack. Luckily, it didn't happen. Hmm...I could be branded 'stupid' to do that. Then again, these bags are simply perfect for me to bring around the campus. The North Face's Hot Shot backpack has quite a generous volume with friendly organisers here and there, and of course, the laptop pocket. As for Crumpler's The Moderate Embarrassment, it's much smaller but with impressive pockets in that restricted volume. Hahaha...I feel good to have them... ![]() ![]() Talking about 'feeling good', I bet the Hong Kong-based singer-actress Karen Mok must be in such mood now. Yes, she, with her producers, Francis Lee & Terry Chan, had just received the honour of Best Mandarin Album on last Saturday's 19th Golden Melody Awards ceremony. Well, I won't be surprised if you were said to have not even noticed her winning album, "L!VE is... KAREN MOK". Accordingly to Karen herself, there wasn't much support given, be it financially or mentally, while starting off the album's production. Also, during then, Karen happened to be in her lowest mood, after having problems for her love life. So, because of these circumstances, she was actually forced to initiate many things herself from having the concept to writing lyrics, swallowing any sort of mistreat and pain. Of course, together with professional assistance from the producers, Francis & Terry, the final output, "L!VE is... KAREN MOK", has turned out to be a winner and one of its own kind. Now, who doesn't salute to such a determined and talented person? We all do. And we hope to see Karen Mok keep going on and finally, find her own comfort world. ![]() ![]() ![]() Okay, it's time to stop and rest for the day. I need to switch myself back to the normal mode. If not, I am simply risking myself for more problems. So, my priority now is...go and sleep.
