And I know that the Italia team will have won over the Leu Bleus team as to give a sweet revenge for what happened in the UEFA Euro 2000 final. However, I must give credit to Zinedine Zidane, who had been sent off in this match for headbutting Marco Materazzi's chest. He is significantly the inspiritual player for the French team and never fails taking penalty kicks. Hmm...that explains why he is been awarded with the Adidas Golden Ball, ahead of Italy's Fabio Cannavaro and Andrea Pirlo.

But still my love is for the Italian team, which has the coveted Lev Yashin Award winner, Gianluigi Buffon, Italy’s defensive rock Fabio Cannavaro and one the most complete midfield players in the world, Andrea Pirlo. I have been quietly waiting for the Italians to win a major tournament since I have taken note of them since 1999. And...my dream, the Italians' dream...has come true. So true. So beautiful.
