"Dancing in the moonlight...everybody's feeling warm and bright...it's such a fine and natural sight...everybody's dancing in the moonlight..."
I had just attended the wedding event of my family friend's son, Alfred Leek, and his wife, Roanna Yang, yesterday. Because of close ties between both families, my family was invited for the morning tea ceremony and the evening dinner reception. So, I can say I really witnessed joy and emotion all over everyone's face throughout the day. Hey, I am kinda impressed. I think I wish my wedding can be nice and cosy, if I ever am to wed. But, this is not the high point of what I saw for the day. Okay, the high point is that Alfred actually made one nice speech to thank his parents, his second maternal uncle (who was a reputable man in Malaysia and just passed away last year) and his wife to help him to be in the way he is today. Yes, when one gets married, especially sons, he or she should not forget whoever has loved you ever since you are on earth. Hmmm...I was touched at that moment too as I knew Alfred's mother is a tough, hardworking person who never complains, ever though she is actually under tremendous hardship. Dear 'Ma Ma', I adore you too... ![]() Anyway, this wedding event was really nice, especially the evening dinner reception. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Haha, no wonder Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel is regarded as one of Asia's premier 5-star hotels. Hmmm...Alfred must have spent a big sum of money to have the whole event done, which includes inviting Justice of Peace to witness their wedding solemnization in front of guests who attended the evening dinner reception. But, he can comfortably afford these and everyone was enjoying themselves on this very day. The money was really well-spent. So, who is going to get married next? I guess it should be my cousins, or even my friends. Haha...you never know what will happen in the near future.
